Director of Finance, Planning & Analytics

You own FP&A and the close, and you also run the analytics team — two jobs that usually sit in different departments. Expect to build the budget and long-range plan, then turn around and defend department-level P&L variances in front of the people who own those budgets. The hard part is the breadth: month-end accuracy and GL review on one side, BI dashboards and KPI definitions on the other, with executives expecting both to tell the same story.

The bar for this role

Several years running FP&A — budgeting, forecasting, modeling, variance analysis — at a level where executives relied on your numbers
Hands-on ownership of month-end close and financial statement preparation, with real command of GAAP and accrual accounting
Has managed people, not just projects — this role leads the analytics team and sets its priorities
Built dashboards and KPI frameworks in a BI tool and can defend the data definitions behind them
Comfortable presenting results and hosting business reviews with department heads who will push back
Able to be found suitable by the applicable gaming regulator

Not required

Gaming or casino industry experience — enterprise FP&A depth matters more
CPA, CMA, or MBA
Experience with one specific BI platform; Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar all count
Public company or SEC reporting background
A degree in finance specifically, if the track record is there
